Attorney's office is investigating a Cache Valley man
in connection with allegations made to the Cache County
Sheriff's office that a girl was sexually abused Monday
by her great-grandfather, Lt. Matthew Bilodeau of the
Sheriff's Office Support Services Division said Thursday.
The Sheriff's Office posted an incident report Monday
at about 3 p.m. about "inappropriate touching" of a
girl by her great-grandfather.
No arrest was made, but the case is being reviewed
by the County Attorney's office.
"That's the nature of the beast," Bilodeau said of
the incident. "Right now we're still conducting investigations.
There was no arrest or anything, so I can't say much
about it, can't give ages or names or anything."
Because of the ongoing investigation, the County Attorney's
office can't elaborate on the incident either, Bilodeau
said.
