"I've always been all over the lot in my writing. Except for poetry -- even though they say all the old-time sportswriters use plenty of it. Maybe it's just part of what we do."

Logan woman scares off intruder

By Maddie Wilson

April 20, 2007 | Early Thursday, a woman called the Logan City Police Department to say her roommate awoke to find an unknown man crawling at the bottom of her bed, according to a media release from the LCPD. When the roommate asked the stranger what he was doing, he ran out of the room.

Sgt. Louise Speth said Detective Jason Olsen arrived and processed the scene, and will continue to look for fingerprints and anything else that could identify the intruder.

"There was no evidence of a forced entry," Speth said. She wasn't sure if the incident took place in a house or apartment building.

Because this is an active case, Speth said the names and address of the victims could not be given.
