Today's word on journalism

More from the Do-Gooder File:

"For much of his career, he could outthink, out-hustle, out-report, outeat, outdrink and outwork any other journalist in the country. But if his excesses were occasionally unbridled, they were driven by his passion to get a good story and root out the bad guys. ... He could get excited about an investigation of public corruption or a bizarre animal story. We once spent weeks following a story about a dog on 'death row' that Bob believed was 'innocent.'"

Millville plans to create town Web site

By Leah Lopshire

March 3, 3008 | MILLVILLE -- Have you ever tried to look up the city of Millville on the Internet? It may have been difficult, considering the city has no official Web site.

This may all change very soon. The Town Council has been in discussion recently over the production of an official Web site.

The site will include 11 subcategories from the home page, including topics from information on city government, Millville history, local news and events, and all other local information.

When looking around for prices Councilman Jared Taylor found that providing the pictures would drop the cost significantly. Another way to reduce costs would be to get a local Millville resident to update the Web page instead of having to go to a professional every month, or possibly having town recorder Rose Mary Jones do the updates every month.

It has not yet been decided who will be creating the Web page, or when. Possible choices would be to go to a professional company, or having the students at Bridgerland create the page.
