March 5, 20009 | RICHMOND -- The Planning and Zoning
Commission sent a recommendation Tuesday to the City
Council to re-zone the Glenn property.
Mary Ellen Glenn approached the commission with a
request to rezone her property so she can place the
house and the acre of land on it in a special needs
trust fund for her two sons, who are on disability insurance.
Under the current zoning, Glenn would have to give
10 acres plus the home to her sons. The majority of
the land is in Greenbelt and is used for farming. If
the 10 acres is given to the sons it will leave little
land left to Glenn’s four other children.
Chris Anderson gave the recommendation for the rezoning
and the rest of the commission unanimously agreed.
